There are a couple of kisses, like in the 2007 movie, and the great songs are still there including a song not actually in the original film, Mama I'm A Big Girl Now, but which rolled on the credits, but since they put Mama I'm A Big Girl Now in, they chopped out New Girl In Town, sung by Amber Von Tussle when Tracy Turnblad arrives at auditions for The Corny Collins Show. Though it's not is good as the 2007 musical of the same show (my personal opinion), it is still a great performance, including a cast who'll likely appeal to your kids like: Dove Cameron and Kristin Chenoweth from my favourite film Descendants, Garrett Clayton from Teen Beach Movie, and even Ariana Grande! The messages delivered from the original film are still there, and the whole cast a great vocal range. Very good TV production, is a good way to introduce your 9 year old/s to immigration.
